So the Chai Tea cupcakes are fresh out of the oven and they are quite yummy. The dough was delicious! icon_smile.gif Can't wait to try it with the condensed milk frosting tomorrow!

You can always count on Sam's to have good prices.

So has anyone had time to try the recipes? Are they any good?

Glad to have inspired someone icon_smile.gif I must say that most of the recipes are on her website, except for the Chai Tea one. If anything, the book is nice to flip through and get inspired without having to sit in front of the computer searching through pages. icon_smile.gif

There are a few other recipes I want to try, including the Tres Leches, Tiramisu, and the 3 citrus one (I forget the exact name). Happy Baking!

Yes they can, I know you are concerned because of the eggs but they're cooked over double boiler so they are safe to eat. HTH thumbs_up.gif

I'm excited to get my butt to Costco again, we were just there a few days ago so I'm assuming I just completely missed it. Thanks for the price checks and heads up! icon_biggrin.gif

I bought the book a couple of months ago and have tried a few recipes. The strawberry cuppy with strawberry smbc is fabulous, although the smbc can be temperamental. I've also received compliments from some of the other recipes such as boston cream pie cuppy, banana pecan, carrot, mint-filled brownies, to name a few. The only one that received mediocre reviews was the devil's food cuppy, which was a bit dry to my "testers". Anyway, hth.

I got her book several weeks ago. I haven't tried any of the recipes but they look and sound delicious. Good tips at the back of the book for beginners too

When she had cupcake week back in Feb. 09, she had Magnolia Bakery on there and Billy's. The both have pretty good vanilla cupcakes. I have found that Martha's recipes all flat on their face in one way or another. As an example, her coconut cupcake with 7 minute frosting, the cake was great the frosting awful.

Has anyone tried the boston cream pie cupcakes? I planned on trying the recipe this weekend, but am a little concerned that all the cream is just going to ooze down the side of cupcakes and then there would be nothing in the center.
