I was wondering........how do you make a fondant bow keep its shape? The big ones that are on the top of the cake. All I have worked with is fondant.
I want to make one for a cake coming up this saturday. Do I make it in advance?
Thank you everyone who responds.
The one with a lot of loops right? Usually people just dry it hanging in a pole. And yes, it is best to make it in advance. I also suggest you use gumpaste or fondant/gumpaste mixture.
Thank you Rylan TY.............How much fondant and how much gumpaste should I use?
Also, the gumpaste powder, or the clay stuff?
Here's a great tutorial, I found it on here under the articles tab......

Thanks! I didn't want to give it up.
I forgot to mention that the pearl edged ribbon was simple to make and all gumpaste as well.
There is also a great video on Fondant Bows by tonedna (Thanks Edna!!) on youtube:
