I have a funny story! My husband couldn't stop laughing at me when this happened! I had just made a 2-8" cakes which I always turn over in the palm of my hand & then put them on a cake board. Don't know why I do that I just have always done it... Well I did that... Then I made a 16" cake...... I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing when I turned that 16" cake over into the palm of my hand!!!!!!! I lost the whole darn cake onto my countertop!! icon_cry.gif The ants (my kids & hubby) went right to it!!!!!! icon_eek.gif Needless to say I had to make another cake!! It turned out just as good!! SO from now on I turn the cakes of ALL sizes onto the boards!!!! icon_biggrin.gif Here's my sign!!!! That's what my husband told me, ha ha ha!!

LOL--Sounds exactly like something I would have done! I find I make at least one stupid mistake per baking experience. If I didn't, something clearly would be wrong!

Ain't that the truth! If I were making pizza I would have done real good wouldn't I!! LOL One crazy thing isn't enough! I keep my fingers crossed the whole time I'm baking! That's the hardest part for me. If a cake turns out good then the whole cake will be beautiful. If not... I start again before it ALL goes wrong..

I drop my piping bag at least once somewhere on almost every cake!! Most cakes you see I have had to repair because I'm such a klutz.

I'm relatively new to cake decorating and already have a few stories to share! My friend and I were making a Power Ranger buttercream transfer, our first transfer! After finishing the transfer,we left it on the table to dry,we then left the room and when we came back, one of the legs was missing! My friends cat had jumped on the table and licked it off! We ended up spending another hour making another one but this time we put it up!

LOL! I love hearing those stories! My problem here is my husband...he likes to tease me by saying that such and such was really good, (meaning icing, cakes, what have you) hoped I wasn't saving it for anything...
