JUst wondering what do you guys do to deliver a large order of cupcakes. I no longer can use my wilton cupcake carrying case anymore to deliver cupcakes I will be setting up at the party. DO you think a big box with some non slip padding will work?
Thanks
I saw an insert for a big box (maybe here on CC or somewhere else). The insert was cut to the size of the box base and made from styrofoam with circles cut out to fit the cupcakes into. The styrofoam looked to be about 3/4" - 1" thick or so. So instead of stacking the cupcakes, they were all in one layer. The box had handles cut out on the sides. I hope my explanation can give you a mental image of what I am describing. Good luck.
I've started using the plastic "disposable" (I save them) cupcake carriers. I can stack 3 or 4 high, and each carrier holds a dozen. Easy.
Yea, I have an order nxt weekend for 75 cupcakes and was wondering how I should package them. I was thinking short, wide boxes? maybe would have to cut some of the height off a box???
i normally just put some double stick tape on the bottom of a rectangular cake board and load them into the boxes, that way they don't tip but i can still get my fingers around them to take them out, without risking damaging the icing
I have an order for 240 in a couple of weeks and plan on using 11x15" boxes. I can fit 35 cupcakes in each. I would love to hear other ideas!
I just looked @ a box that some bottled water came in and i think it's what I'm looking for! so now I need to find about 2 more canned soda or bottled water cardboard boxes...and I think i might use your tape idea to keep them in place, jwong9664! Thanks!
I saw somthing in costco a few weeks ago, I'll have to check it out.
It was a three tier stackable container, Im guessing it can hold over 30 cupcakes.

I have one of these...it holds 3 dozen. I have also done the water bottle box thing and while it was good for small orders, not so good for large as they do not stack well. Just my experience though.
The non-slip rubbery-bubbly shelf liner from the dollar store works well on the bottom of a box or container to keep the cupcakes from sliding. You can cut it to size, and the roll has a good amount on it for $1! (Dollar Tree has it for sure) You can also get it at Walmart, Target, etc. I would just make sure your box (if you're using a larger one) is well supported so the box doesn't bow out on the bottom causing cuppies to tip.
Good luck!
