Hi,

I have seen many beautiful novelty (3D) cakes here which are from disney/TV shows - winnie the pooh, etc

This makes me curious ........

If anyone 'sells' cakes of this sort, does that person need to get permission from the creator/TV shows/producers etc?

Does copyright issue come into this?

Yes it does - but taking the risk of selling a character cake is something only you can decide whether to do or not! A lot of people on this board do it, and a lot of people don't - it always ends up in an argument either way!
