Just a rant I have an eeyore cake to do for tomorrow and my ri plaques arent going to work as im just not happy with them. Looked on the web at my local supply store and they had marzipan figures listed online and available. I thought YES I can go pick one up on the way to work. I got to the shop and nope they dont have any nothing. Everything but in fact. So now I have to try and make one when I get home at 9 tonight. I know they cant always have everything in stock but they could just put a note saying not in stock at the moment. It will probably just end up boss eyed but i guess I dont have any choice now. Thanks for listening to me vent.

No, I totally feel the same way. It drives me nuts when companies don't do that. Especially clothing companies that competely run out of the item. Take it off your website until you get more. Because I want that SO bad, and I can't have it! Super annoying!

I know the frustration but web sites are very time consuming to maintain. It would be several full time jobs to update every single item that is out of stock every minute of every day. And to pay for those full time jobs prices would sky rocket then we would complain about that icon_smile.gif

I know it's frustrating, but stuff happens.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had to go to two or three different stores because they were all out of something at the holidays.

There's lots of threads where we lament over being out of something ourselves and having to run out at ten at night to get just one little thing. (Gee, we could have updated our own shopping list, but "stuff happens").

Black Friday Shopping, the stores all run ads about popular electronics and toys ..... last year, whatever the big items was (some electronic thing), Toy-R-Us was out of it before we even got into the store (and we were in line an hour before the store opened).

It happens.

I know they can't update everything, its just it always seems to be the one thing you need at the last minute after a catastrophe lol. I guess lots of other people have the same catastropes. Ah well all done now and I used the RI anyway looked much better on the cake than I thought they would. And I was only up until 1 so bonus. Thanks Guys for your messages.

This is frustrating...what drives me nuts is when I place an order, and something is out of stock, they don't let me know.....they send the order on anyway without those items. I like to know when something is out. I recently placed an order and had an item which was the reason I placed it in the first place. The order came without that item. Frustrating...

It can get frustrating. Especially when you sign up for a cake decorating course (one day only workshop), pay over $700.00 and have the payment processed, then go to another section of the website and find that the course took place over a year ago. AND when you call up to get your money back be made to feel silly because you signed up for the course in the first place even though it showed as having available places!! Go figure! icon_confused.gif

maryak i think I would have really lost my temper at that. Why on earth was it still active to book on. huh they are the stupid ones. I think it all comes down to common curtesy (sp?) with what I do for a job if we dont have the part they need or I cant get an engineer to them we call them we dont just let them sit thinking they are going to get something. grr lol. I mean rationally I know stuff happens heck it does every day at work but my brain shuts that out. Guess Im just wired a little bit funny. hehe thanks again guys. Hope you got your money back maryak.

Yes thankfully I got my money back but not after a "Well why did you apply for it" to which I replied "Why is it there, you shouldn't be allowing it to take people's money if it's expired." They came up with some excuse as to how busy they are, etc, etc. Oh well, hopefully they fix it. I'm sure I'm not the only one it's happened to.

Cheers
Mary

Here's a plug for Jennifer Dontz! BEST customer service ever, if you need any fondant cutters, quilters, etc., please check out her website and see what she has...I have some things on my wishlist, but am very VERY satisfied with my diamond cutter that I purchased from her. And questions? I had some questions, and she responded to me quicker than all get out! My vote? A++++++++!
