I have been doing fondant covered cakes for a while, but I never really weighed how much I was using. I now have to price and then make a wedding cake order and have no idea where to begin to even guess how much I will need!

The wedding order will be for 20 cakes, each will be a two layer 6" round cake (baked in 2" pans) with buttercream filling. I will also need a small 2 tier cake, probably 6" and 9 " rounds, 2 layers each.

I know it depends on thickness of the fondant, etc but if you have a ballpark amount it would really help me.

Thank you!
