ok so have a request for a cute fuschia/ zebra stripe cake ive attempted zebra stripes before it came out blah blah not pointy enough not squiggly enough!! ive gone threw the templates here on cc and even googled just zebra stripes on normal web and the pictures i dnt see how i could use them as stencils. So i guess im asking how have you done stripes before? freehand? stencil? magic powers?! cuz holy crap im not getting it and i cant do it too far in advance because i need to be able to wrap them around corners so im freakin!!!

I felt the same way when I had to do my first zebra striping, but it wasn't has hard as I thought. I watched a tutorial on creative celebration cakes and it really helped.. i'll post the link.

I never used a template, but it's pretty good that you can let each stripe side be a side for the next so you don't have to waste fondant. kind of like sleeping head to toe. stupid example but only way i can describe without pic
