I have often seen the "Viva" paper towel method mentioned (for smoothing buttercream), but am not sure whether or not this type of Viva is available in Canada....and where. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

isn't all Viva the same, regardless of where it is sold?

I haven't found Viva here - basically, you want something without a pattern. I use Truly brand from Zellers and get great results.

Yeah, you can use wax paper instead of viva towels. Just make sure the bc has crusted already!

I always ask friends & family if they are going down to the states to pick me up a big pack of viva. I don't know why it isn't sold in Canada...

i am in australia and even we can buy viva over here icon_confused.gif Except i think i have only seen the ones with the indented patterns on them at my supermarket so if i ever want to but that sort of thing i prob just end up buying another brand of paper towel that is not patterned.

Is viva an american brand?

I think it's called White Swan(?) here now, or something like that. I know Viva was available here not that long ago and all of a sudden it's tuned into a swan!
