Hello everyone
I'm fixing to make a pregnant belly cake. I'm putting it on top of a sheetcake and using the wilton soccer ball pan and 2 mini half ball pans.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips, if ya have done one before

I would do the belly/boob part seperate and place it on top of the sheet. That's really the only tip I can think of.

hope it's not too late to for you, but i made one a few weeks ago for the first time and was worried about getting it right the first time and I had no problems. I will try to upload my pic when I am through posting this, but it's on my phone so it may be a crummy pic. I'm kinda lazy about uploading pics.

I used the same pans as you, and put the belly and boobs on their own cake board. After icing, I draped the belly first, the boobs next and hid the seperation with a fondant ribbon across the "waist".
To make the dress pattern I used heavy duty foil to drape the frozen cakes (before icing) then flattened them out and retraced on parchment to use a template to cut out my fondant. After draping the fondant, I tucked some of it under the cakeboard then placed it on the sheet cake.

Hope this helps!

Glad I read this! I'm making my first belly cake tomorrow. That was helpful.
