I was wondering if the tip sizes/numbers were universal from brand to brand? I have the set from the Martha Stewart kit, they're Ateco. I hope to buy a Wilton set off ebay soon, but until then I don't know if my tip 2 is the same as someone else's who may recommend using that tip icon_confused.gif Any insight on this will definitely be appreciated! icon_smile.gif

Tip 2 is the same for both wilton and ateco.I have 1 of each and I'm not seeing no difference.

Hhmn, well I have some older Ateco tips and I don't find they are always consistent to the Wilton sizes. For example the tip 2 is smaller than the Wilton tip 1 and such. Not always with every tip, but once in awhile. May have to do with the fact I am comparing older Ateco tips. I find that Ateco tips discolour and so I prefer Wilton, just my opinion.

I've found out the same thing about the Ateco ones discoloring....but I also found that if you just scrub, and scrub, and scrub-lol....that eventually it will all come off - at least on mine it did. Thanks for your replies! icon_biggrin.gif
