I like to take a 12" dummy, 18" circle, 10" dummy, 14" circle, 6" dummy, 10" circle. cover them in paper and ribbon, and call it a day. That way if I get them back, great, if not, no problem.

mommyle, what a beautiful set up! I assume those cards tell them what the flavor of the cupcakes are? it's very pretty, elegant too.

icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif I'm jealous, how come my DH(dingy husband) can't make anything? icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif That's it, I'm leaving a massage therapist for a carpenter!lol No really, I'm the crafty one. The one who does it all, it's hopeless waiting for my husband to help out. I think I'm just going to have to build one myself, when I need it.

Here is mine. Wood "shaddow box" types that nest inside eachother to store thumbs_up.gif Not too heavy.
A bride returned it today ( after my 4 th rental ) and still in good shape. I repained it once and change the ribbon or "decor" for each bride. She suggested making them from acrylic so she could have mailed it back. ...??? Its a few pretty big pieces, and I dont think a 40 min drive would outweigh $40 shipping to me, I dunno. So anyone have acrylic ideas?

If you are looking for acrylic or plastic nesting boxes...you may want to try either catering display risers or retail store display boxes and/or risers. When I was looking for a big square cake stand a while back I stumbled on a couple of sites. Think they are for jewelry display (?) It was so long ago I can't recall the sites. They also have 3-sided risers too...kind of like a big square "C" that stand on the two legs..2-3 of those could create a stairstep effect, but only good from one the front.

If you are looking for acrylic cupcake stands there is a company on eBay that sells all sorts of them, but I think they are out of the UK - not sure though.

Love it! Is it made with cake drums? Great display!

no, actually I didn't want to spend the money for those so I bought the 12.9 oz cans of fruit and just put a strip of wrapping paper around them, they worked well because the weight of them helped it be alot more stable!!
