Fairly new to cake decorating. I am looking for a good white frosting, preferably from scratch, that will work well for tiered and sculpted cakes. I have a great SMBC recipe I like to use but it is yellow (obviously "butter"cream). I made 1 wedding cake with it because she didn't want white, so it worked out. I have a few cake orders coming up and they need to be white and they don't want fondant. I've made my own frosting w/ conf. sugar and bought the big tubs from the craft store. Any other ideas?? I guess I'm just looking for something a little more "professional". Any ideas, recipes would be great!! Thanks in advance.

I just went through this and tried several recipes. I liked Sugarshack's recipe and Indydebi's recipe, both in the recipe section on this site. Both are white and very smooth.

Sugarshack's recipe is my go to frosting and everyone I've made cakes for seems to like it
