Need Corvette Carving Instructions, Not Lightning Mcqueen

All,
I had someone that ordered a VW Bug 'junk' car, I practiced it, got it... now, 5 days before, she has changed her mind and wants a 'junk' Corvette instead (preferably the model from the 70's the Stingray type).
Can anyone help me with the carving?
This will be a fondant cake serving about 10 people.
Thanks in advance!
You can get a photo off the internet......using a photo proram make it the size you need...cut out a carboard template using the pic and then use this to cut the car shape out........freeze cake first to make carving better...this is what I am aboout to do this week......I have been picking brains all over the internet LOL...good luck
Oh wow, as a big fan of Sharon's, I hang my head in shame for not realizing that was on her blog! It's basically exactly what madgeowens suggested too... this should help us both!
Thanks so much!
Wow, wish I knew this technique before I made a Corvette recently. This is so much easier than the way I did it.
Forgive all my horrific typos on previous post.....sheesh, I am getting old...............er
Here's another place to get car templates: http://the-blueprints.com/
This is the site that Mike McCrary lists in his car cake DVD.
He uses the Mustang GT blueprint (blown up), and laminates it with clear wide tape so he can hold it up to the side of the cake (like in Sharon's photos) and it doesn't get full of icing.
I can't figure out how to print those blue prints to the size i want, its really convoluted and gave me a headache LOL
Once you register as a member, you'll have access to much bigger images...but you still have to take them to a copy place to be enlarged further.
(I should mention) I haven't actually done any of this myself yet.
I just resized and enlarged mine in Photoshop and just printed it out on legal-sized paper. Got a nice 13" Corvette!
You can copy and save the pics and then use a photo program, click on poster size so you can then make it the size you wish. I did this with a photo rather than the blueprint.
I am also looking for a car (corvette) template for my cake, can't seem to find what you all are seeing. Help :-).
