Something really strange is happening to me....I posted a question on if I was doing something wrong in using the search function in the galleries. I'm logged on as a member but I keep getting some message that I need to be a member, please join. My post showed for a bit and now its gone. Am I the only one having problems or did I get banned for some reason?? or am I losing it?

Nope, you're not losing it and you're not the only one! lol One minute I'm logged in and the next I'm not...that's probably what happened to you. Only members can view the pics. I just have to keep closing out my browser and starting all over. This has been happening to me for days...and I also have pics that I've saved to my favorites album, but then they disappear, and other pics won't even save to my album at all. Maybe pm Jackie and she can help with this

If you are having problems with staying logged in or not being able to re-login, then you need to clear your cookies.

In Internet Explorer go to:

Tools>Internet Options>Delete Cookies

Then come back to cakecentral.com and a new usercookie will be installed on your computer. Periodically it is necessary to do this. It is not related to cakecentral specifically, it is just something that happens with community sites like this.

As for the trouble with saving photos, you will want to PM Jackie and give her specific details.

I've repeatedly cleared my cookies, but it just keeps happening....should I have to delete my cookies, say 4 or 5 times each day? That's what I've been doing...lol

no you should only have to do it once a month or so. The problem is likely stemming from your permission security settings blocking the cookie.

Go to Tools>Internet Options>Privacy

click the Sites button. Enter cakecentral.com and choose allow.

then clear the cookies and try again. Let me know if the problem is still happening.

No You have not been banned. We have only ever had to ban 1 person from this site who was posting personal threats of bodily harm, and making multiple extremely vulgar and inappropriate posts.

I do not just "ban" people, if someone has broken a rule, I will contact them via email and/or Private Message before any such measure is taken.

It sounds to me like a problem with your cookie. I had a few other people with the same problem, so I made some minor improvments to the login function.
