Now...........what are the pro's vs. con's!?!?!?
are you guys talking about cake straws as in ones for replacing dowels?
Yesiree!!!!!!
oh good cose i need to do a small 2 tier stacked cake and i don't want to bother buying dowels cose i prob don't need them cose it's only a small cake, but just to be sure i decided to just use some straws instead. I was thinking of just using those hard thick McDonalds straws you can get from the restaurants, they would be alright wouldn't they?
Sorry I can't give any advice on here I havn't used dowels or straws before lol

I think the best, from what I've been reading are bubble tea straws. If you google it, you will find a ton of places that sell them. at tenteatime.com they sell those traws 50/$1.50
I've never used strawa but by reading other forums, some like em some don't, same goes for dowels. Its really by preference.

I use bubble tea straws in all my stacked cakes, including wedding cakes - I love them! So much sturdier than wooden dowels & IMO more hygenic too. I put 4 under 6in cakes, 5 under 8in, 6 under 10in, well spaced to balance the weight. HTH!
