Please Help With Wording...cake Due Today...
Decorating By ambolil Updated 2 May 2009 , 10:39pm by flourbud
I have a shower cake due today. The customer didn't like the wording she gave me and her husband made fun of her about it. She told me to phrase it another way, sending their love to the baby.
Is this correct???
all our love,
the baby's name
PLEASE HELP ASAP
Sounds fine to me....although I'd capitalize the first letter.
Or maybe "With all our love"
Hope this helps.
_____, all our love
Giving all our love to baby ______
We love you _______
Tammy
Yep.
It is a tag that reads:
All Our Love,
Parker
Parker is the baby. Hubby and I argued over whether the grammar was correct. He thinks it is okay too. If not, I can just replace the tag. No problem. I just don't want my cake on cake wrecks, lol.
Thanks so much for responding!!
re:
All our love,
Parker
The way they've phrased it might be technically correct. But it is awkward. It makes it sound, to me, like the cake is FROM Parker. I know the 'our' clarifies that. But it does seem awkward. I might put...
Parker
all our love
To me the way it is worded sounds like the baby is sending all his love. Is it a gift cake with a gift tag attached? If so then maybe have is say
" For baby Parker, with all our love" or "To Parker, with all our love" or "All our love belongs to Parker"
I agree with freddyfl. It's not correct to say "All Our Love, Parker" because that means Parker is sending his love to you. In that case it'd be "All My Love, Parker" I'd go with "With All Our Love to Parker" or similar examples above.
