What is gum paste? I have people talk about it. How do you use it?

Gum paste is edible, but I don't think many people actually east much of it. It's like clay, almost the same consistency as fondant, and can be used to make realistic looking flowers and leaves. It can be molded into just about anything, but it dries quickly and firmer than fondant and doesn't seem to crck as much. Wilton sells a can of it for about $5, you just add water and knead the heck out of it. There are lots of tools available for molding and cutters for different flower petals. It's worth trying out!
