Jen - I love your piping of your monogram on the side of the cake. IT'S BEAUTIFUL! Someday I'm going to be able to pipe something that elegant (in my dreams).

Thank you Sheilabelle!

I do cheat a bit with the monograms...I design it on my computer, pop it into my KopyKake and trace it out. Then I pipe over that icon_smile.gif

You should see Jennifers flowers in person. If you think they are amazing on the computer... WOW. I actually OWN one of them. I met her at Ultimate Cake Off. icon_smile.gif Totally buy her dvds. You will never regret it. (plus she is SSSOOOO NICE!) So smart about using the computer and the kopykake. I have been free handing it all this time. GGRRR.

Speaking of the Kopykake... Is it easy to use? I was considering buying a used one but didn't know if it was worth it.

I was wondering if you have ever substituted a jam or a curd for icing? Also, I would love to try your recipe if you are sharing!

Your quilting is very voluminous, I love your cake so much haha! Did you go to culinary school or teach yourself?

Hi nikipie -

I've only used icing. I think the cush of the icing under the fondant hels to puff it out. I'm self taught ... pretty much.
