i just tried making some a few hours ago. i was going to do chocolate first but totally forgot and just started with white mmf and added a butt load of black food color. it seems to have worked pretty well but the texture seemed to be off a bit so i'm not sure how it's gonna roll out. i added wuite a bit more water than usuall when mixing it up. i also used a different brand of mm this time so that might have made a difference too. i have tried getting black with the wilton fondant before and it turned purple in spots over night so i ended up spraying the entire cake with the food color spray. i was making purple fondant with the wilton again(both times 1/2 gum paste) and it turned blue overnight so i don't know what the deal is. could have something to do with the store bought fondant ing or the gum paste?
