Hi Everyone
I'm usually the one that stays in the background and doesn't post much but now I really need everyone's prayers.
My best friend's little girl was born 4 months early. She weighs 3lbs 9 oz. Right now she she doing good, but she will have to stay in NIC unit for 6 weeks. Her breathing is the only thing that they are really concerned with. The nurses say she is a strong little girl and they are doing all they can. She is a beautiful little angel.
If everyone will keep her in their prayers I know she will come through this with flying colors and come home real soon.
Thanks for listening.
Kathy
They really have made great strides with preemies, her weight while tiny is actually a good size for 4 months premature.
Consider the prayers a done deal!

Awww...you've got mine! My husband was born at 28 weeks and only weighed 2lbs, 2 oz. It was amazing that he lived considering that it was 30 years ago.
We'll be keeping her in our prayers!
Three of the babies that have been born to several of my employees have been 3 to 4 pounds.
One was born just before Thanksgiving and he went home the first of January. He now weighs 16 pounds and looks like a butterball. It is amazing what help premies get now.
We will keep your friend and infant in our prayers.
I was also 7 weeks early and about that small 38 years ago. It'll be a long couple of months. Be there to support and help your friend. But I know the baby will be just fine.
One of my daughters gave birth Dec 13 2008 to a 1# 11 oz little boy.
At 9 days old he pulled his ventilator out by himself and has been going forward ever since!!!
He is now 4 1/2 months old and 7 and a half pounds bundle of complete joy!
Modern medicine is a marvel. Prayers coming to you and yours
My BIL was born 57 years ago in a little hospital weighing 2# something & he is the biggest of all 5 of his brothers. You've got the prayers, just be there & listen to your friend it will help her a whole lot.
Snowynight, I'm definitely thinking of your friend and her little one. I hope everything turns out ok. Big hugs!
She definately has our prayers. 6 weeks in the hospital for being 4 months early really is not that long. When my son was born 3 months early, they said he could be in the hospital for 6 months to a year if he made it. And my 1 1/2 year old was 6 weeks early and was in the nicu for 3 1/2 weeks. So she must be a little fighter
I'll keep them in my prayers! God can do great big things!!! My MIL was diagnosed with cancer 2 months ago and we prayed... she just went back monday and they couldn't find anything! He still answers prayers!!!
Will be in my thoughts and prayers until she comes home safe...my thoughts go out to everyone
My Great Nephew weighted 2lbs, I call him the Tropper, Praise the Lord, He turned 1 Yr old. On April 21 st, He still fighting, He easily gets a Cold, She too, Is going to Fight too. I will keep her in my Prayers.
I will pray for her. I wanted to tell you, a friend of mines wife had her son when she was 5 months pregnant. He was very tiny, but he did make it and he is doing well today. This was 15 years ago so surely they have much more knowledge from God on how to care for these little ones.
You have my prayers. Don't worry the child will live and be strong. God is merciful and will hear all our prayers.
she is in my prayers. I'm confident she will be just fine. NICU staffs are wonderous people who care a whole lot about all their babies.
Of course we will keep her in prayer. My baby sister was born 3 months early and weighed 2lbs. That was 28 years ago. She was a fighter then...determined not to be counted out. That fight she came here with has never left. Only now its the stubborn streak that makes you want to knock her out. Tell your friend to keep that in mind as she grows up. When she flat out says "No, mommy!" that is her fighting spirit still hanging around.
