I recently moved to Missouri from Iowa, so I lost all the contacts I once had, and am now making new ones... However, just today I received payment in full for my first order out here! SO EXCITED!!!!

Hopefully this is the start of a trend... icon_biggrin.gif It's for a ladies dinner at a local church, and the person who ordered it simply specified the flavor, the rest is up to me! She DID mention that she's decorating with old hats and petunias, with pastel springtime colors, so I'll probably go with something similar...

So today I'm handmaking petunias out of cream cheese fondant... I don't have a cutter, but they're coming out alright! Not realistic, since they're not thin enough, but kind of playful and whimsical... I'll put up a picture when I'm done! icon_biggrin.gif

CAN YOU TELL I'M EXCITED?!? icon_lol.gif

(Also, yes, I'm a home baker, but I've done what I need to do to be legal. Just so you know... icon_wink.gif )

I don't mind sharing at all! In fact, it's right here on CC:

http://www.cakecentral.com/cake_recipe-7060-0-Cream-Cheese-base-fondant.html

It's SOOO tasty, I never use anything else! All the fondant cakes in my pictures (except the baby shower one, my first and last with Wilton fondant...) are done with this fondant!

Thanks for the encouragement everyone! I'm off to finish the petunias and let them dry, then I'll be making a chocolate logo for another cake for this weekend!

I FINISHED!!! I'm really happy with the way it came out, too! I added some stenciling, something I've never done before, and I really really liked it! Almost as easy as it looks in the video... icon_wink.gif

I don't think I've ever had as much trouble with my fondant though... I think it was far too warm... But the covering job ended up looking okay!

I uploaded it, and here's the link!
