I just ordered two 12" x 2" square Magic Lines for $21.00 each and free shipping (something tells me I can find a better deal, at least the price of the pans anyways).....where do you guys get yours? I want to get 2 each of every size for the squares, and all 2" deep.
As far as round goes, to be honest, I have had the Wiltons this whole time, and I love them! But I'm not screwing around when it comes to square....I want Magic Line or nuttin at all.
Any ideas??
I get mine on Amazon, which is where I suspect you got yours from, however Amazon has some tricks to it...
1.) Prices fluctuate constantly, so I will add something to my shopping cart and when/if it drops I'll steal a deal. If I see its not fluctuating and I HAVE to have it, I'll get it. That $13 12x15x3 pan I bought yesterday is now $22.06.
2.) Most of their cake pans, cookware, kitchen stuff, etc are 4 for 3. So, I'll usually buy 4 at a time and the things I buy are in close price to eachother. For example, I don't want to buy 3 things that are $20 and my 4th thing be $5 that I get for free. Have to maximize that .
I do all of my shopping on Amazon. Every now and then I'm surprised by something that isn't 4 for 3. You can find out by scrolling down from the description just a bit and you'll see that it says This item is eligible for Amazon's 4 for 3 promotion, or something like that...
I hope this helps you some. Happy shopping.
Few places I like to check out are:
f ondant source . com (if you enter cakecentral in the promo area you will get 10% off entire order.
amazon.com (and I do the same as the pp)
http://cooksdream.com/store/beb.html (they also have 10% off all orders 2009 and 15% if you spend a certain amount)
http://www.countrykitchensa.com/catalog/SearchResults.aspx?description=magic%20line%20square&page=-1 (I haven't used them yet but they also have some kind of discount if you spend certain amt as well).
I've personally purchased from the 1st three and customer service (aside from amazon because I don't call them) was fantastic.
HTH!
Thanks guys! I forgot to click watch this topic again.....grrr!
Yes, Amazon is where I ordered. So, I canadd to cart, leave them alone in there, and check them every once in a while and the price will change automatically?

Yes, when you go to your cart you will be alerted right away if there has been a price change on anything (whether it has gone up or down). Then order what you want and put the rest in your wish list and then you can move it back to your cart (I honestly can't remember if you get the alerts for items in your wishlist or not ).
I just bought a 10" X 3" magic line round pan on Amazon for $7.99. These pans are $10.99 elsewhere on the internet.
I did a lot of price comparison and I got mine at Country Kitchen. They offer a 10% discount if your order is over $100. I had to buy a bunch of pans so it worked out great. They're price was better with the shipping than any other price before shipping. Plus they got them to me really fast.
Thanks guys...doing some homework....gotta stock up on those square pans, seems like that's what everyone wants coming up!

You don't get the alerts for wish list items. But what I do is click "save for later" it will stay "in your cart screen, but not in the ready to check out part of your car. I have 50+ items in my cart right now that I'm price watching.
There's also something where you can get emails sent to you, I think that's in settings. I turned that sucker off. Its easier for me to visit every day and click on shopping cart to check.
Question about cake liners.....I won a couple as a door prize at a day of sharing/ When I used them, my cakes still stuck to the pans. Did I do something wrong? I guess we are talking about the same thing. The plastic liner looking things that go in the bottom of the pan?
There is a personal finance/get out of debt blog that I read, and there is a post on how to use amazon to price hunt stuff. I don't really get it, but the tech savy amongst you might be able to do this: http://www.thesimpledollar.com/2008/06/30/a-clever-trick-for-automatically-finding-deals-you-want-at-amazon/.
