Your flowers are wonderful!! Great job!! I have been wanting to learn them. I bought some of the stuff just haven't used it yet!

I think I have asked you this before but where in KC are you? I took a class in Lee's Summit 5 or 6 years ago at Hobby Lobby. The lady wasn't too bad she just wasn't overly friendly. I have been thinking about taking another one soon but just not sure where I should go. Anywhere I go will be at least 30 to 45 min and I want to make sure I am going to get something out of it!! Sorry for the rambling. It's late, my son has been sick all day (right now he is sleeping on the couch) and I figure as soon as I close my eyes he will wake up and need something. So... I decided to look at cakes! Yes tomorrow I will probably be sorry and he will probably sleep all night!! Oh well, so goes the life of a mom! lol. Great job on you flowers!

WOW those look great!! I just started playing with gumpaste the other day and I'm SO addicted!!!! I've been looking around for a gumpaste class but one near me requires you take all these other classes first, stupid. Anyway, I'm glad that you found one that obviously did the job! Those look great!!

Your flowers are just beautiful !! I wish they'd teach a class on gumpaste here where I live .. I guess there just isn't enough demand for that type of thing here icon_sad.gif who knows, maybe I can get enough people interested in it when I become an instructor icon_biggrin.gif

charlin, hope your son feels better soon! i live out by the kansas speedway. i took my classes at the micheals on shawnee parkway by I-435. i know that would be a long drive for you, but i happen to know that Della, our wonderful instructor, is starting a gum paste class very soon! if you were intrested i would call asap. Della is wonderful!

thank you guys for your nice comments!

nyter....i know that della always has a large turn out for wilton course 1 and each class dewindles in size. i took course 2 all by myself and the gumpaste class all by myself because the other ladies backed out....good for me i got all kinds of one on one. haha plus it took alot more time than i ever imagined, so most people sign up and dont finish the course.
i love just looking at my new creations, they are so beautiful...its hard to believe that it is gumpaste! even harder to believe that i made them!

wilton has the gum paste kit, but the book that comes with it isnt really that good. not sure i wouldve learned much on my own...i am a visual learner but book sucks too. icon_redface.gif

happy decorating

Wow, your flowers look great. Did you use a kit? I have a kit that I bought at Micheal's, but haven't used it yet. I need to get busy and try it out. Thanks, Janice
