What is the best way to attach my gumpaste roses to the top of my cake? It's going to be a two-tiered wedding cake with 3 gumpaste roses on top. I've always done buttercream so it's my first experience with gumpaste (and I watched Edna's tutorials...she's great!)

Thanks!

Shannon

If the roses are on "stems" The best way is to insert small drinking straws (cocktail straws, coffee stirrer straws) into the cake in the places you want to place your flowers then insert the "stem" into the straw. If it is just the flower tops i would just attach with a small bed of buttercreme.

Are you flowers on toothpick stems? If so just place into cake and remove before serving.
