I love how that utube video is in super-fast motion!! Don't you wish we could just toss a cake together that quickly and it turn out that well?

You'll be fine, Melvira. Definitely post a picture of how it turns out. I am just shocked you are even worried about this, I guess everyone gets a little nervous when we have to do something new that we haven't done before.

Good luck and you'll be fine. I hope you have someone to ride with you, that will help take some of the pressure off if someone can keep an eye on the cake for you.

Hello, you are a forum superstar! It's just hard to believe you haven't done a topsy-turvy cake yet. I haven't, but I am relatively new and no one has asked for one yet. I'm sure it will be a learning experience for you. That is what I try to take away from every cake I do, good or bad. It all about learning new things.

Make sure that you dont cut the hole to deep. The girl on the Youtube video is better than the one in the photos. When you cut the cake too deep it looks like the top cake is sinking. And it will make your cake look shorter and fat. Something you need to remember!!

Well, I've done a topsy turvy before, just wasn't all that great, and it was only 2 tiers, and it didn't have to be delivered anywhere. So, yah, I have no clue if I can pull this off.

Nah, I'm kinda short, but don't let that or my silliness fool yah. I'm built like a brick sh*tter and mean as h*ll when I'm mad. icon_lol.gif My hubby is 6'2", and broad shouldered, but he says that physical confrontation with me scares the heck out of him! Hahaha. HAHA! It's not a dog's bark but his bite?

I love when I'm in a stinky mood and someone comes up to me and I give them "the look" and they're like..."uh, never mind!" Apparently I have a look that will freeze water! But hey, don't mess with me when I'm in a bad mood!

Sometimes I feel sorry for the people I work with...sometimes!

Yah, yah, yah... nothing like a pushy broad to get you into the cake spirit. Hehehe. Well, I made my icing and I'm gettind ready to stack up my layers so I can freeze them. Then comes the carving. Of course, I have to clean out some space in the freezer first... that could take a while. icon_lol.gif

Oh, and yah, I'm wicked hot. Even my doctor says I'm hot. Well, he says 'hot flashes' but I think it means the same thing. He's just shy, right? Hehehe. Oh, I know, it's that newfangled speak that the yung'uns use. (Yah, cuz I'm so old too, right? Well, I'm closer to 40 than 30. *gasp*)
