All my calla lilies are made for a cake on Saturday. They are all on wire. I can conifigure them into a bouquet for the topper, but have no clue what the best way is to secure them on the cake. Should I use posy pics??? I've also seen reference to coffee stirs...any tips????

I would completely cover the wires with floral tape and insert into thin straws. If you want to actually arrange an arrangement on the top, arranging in styrofoam works well. You also can dip the wires in chocolate or wax. Just don't put bare wires into a cake.

HTH!

My big sister gave me a "sisters" calendar last year and this was one of the daily quotes. I love the Peanuts and this one made me laugh out loud icon_lol.gif Most days I would chose to keep her but some days...

I have the same problem. If I use stryofoam, do I cover it with icing or anything? I would like to be able to arrange it as a topper to be removed before cutting.

Yes, sorry, I left that out. You can cover the styro with a thin layer of fondant.
