I have a customer that wants a Carnival themed cake for her 1 year old god daughters birthday.

They only need to feed 30-35 people. So I was thinking a 1/2 sheet size wise, but my ideas are running dry.

She wants clowns, but I am thinking more circus like, than carnival.

Any ideas would be apprecaited!

Thanks.

When i think carnival - I think about Ferris Wheels and Merry Go Rounds and lots of Carny food - Cotton Candy, Funnel Cakes, candy apples!!

You could do a 1/2 sheet with a little candy apple made out of RKT with a couple clowns (I agree that clowns are circus not carnival) and maybe a Carousel horse modeled out fondant/gumpaste? I think it could be really really cute!!

I made these cakes for triplets' carnival themed birthday. They're buttercream with fondant accents. Maybe they'll inspire an idea for ya.
