If the pictures were on your PC then you can't post them in the forum...they have to be on a public domain or something like that. Go up to the tab labeled "Forum FAQ" and you can read about posting pics in forums.
I think that is right...I'm still pretty new at this!!!

Yes, you can post pics from your PC, they just need not to be a big file. If they are too big you need to shrink the size for the forum. Thats why some people go to other websites to shrink them. But if you are good with your computer you can even shrink them with a simple program just like paint.

Well..the smaller one I used a cutter from sunflower company.. The big one is done petal by petal.

Thanks for the compliment sweetjan... it's still in the early stages, but I'm excited to get it going!
Edna; gorgeous sunflowers! Thanks to you and Niliquely for the photo help! I'm going to try and fix that now!
Hi
I made some for cupcakes last summer... they took me just this side of forever to make, so make sure you charge enough!

I used the plunger/cutter, and for the centers I used the large end of a tip 2d to cut them out. I added texture by using my mesh sifter to imprint a pattern all over the fondant/gumpaste before I cut them out. When I was done I painted with luster dust, because the petal dust just didn't make them pop.
Hope this helps-
Thanks Everyone!! Great ideas.Edna your sunflowers are gorgeous!! I can get a hold of a sunflower cutter here so I may buy that one!
I just wanted to say that I was thinking of the really simple gumpaste/fondant cutter when you first mentioned looking for a gumpaste sunflower tutorial Laurel. My examples were no where near as detailed, realistic, and gorgeous-looking as the images/links posted here! The cutter I was thinking of doesn't even really look like an actual sunflower, although the name of the cutter does say sunflower. Can't wait to see your pics when you post them!
Now i feel silly! foxymomma521, they doreally look like sunflowers with the large centers, and your creations are gorgeous Beautiful job!
Thank you! It was my only time attempting gumpaste flowers... I enjoyed it. Maybe when I don't have a ton of little kids living in my house I can do some more

I don't think I should be thanked for sticking my foot in my mouth...but as long as you had a good laugh from it, I am happy!

Your flowers are really pretty!!..I actually loved them. Like you said Is just a simpler way of doing them.. Actually you can use that same cutter and a veiner tool to make them more realistic. You already make them pretty!

I don't know if this was mentioned or not but Nick Lodge has a sunflower video out. I believe GSA has it.
Yep, here it is: http://www.globalsugarart.com/product.php?id=20194

Yeah, that's what you think now, but wait until they are all teenagers! My kids are 15, 16, and 17, and even though I am not breastfeeding/cutting up table food/changing diapers/giving baths/washing tons of laundry/chasing toddlers, I am still just as busy now being band mom/on demand taxi-driver/percussion hauler/school fundraisers cake donor/SAT prepper/ATM machine/washing tons of laundry/arguing with teenagers/ mom. LOL
Anyhoo, IMO, the best sunflowers are those made the Nicholas Lodge way. Get yourself his sunflower petal cutter, calyx cutter, First Impressions molds petal and leaf veiners, petal dusts, and the video the PP mentioned. Sunflowers made his way are beeeeutiful!

Well it becomes less of a physical exhaustion and more of a mental exhaustion. LOL
