I have the wilton cross pan, but does anyone know about how many it will feed??? I need to make a cross for 20-25 people. Not sure if that pan can do that...any help would be appreciated!
The instruction sheet for the 2105-2509 Wilton Cross pan says "Makes 16 appetizer servings" I am not sure of the serving size dimensions.
Sorry to butt in on your post, But i have a Cross cake to do also and I need it to feed 20-30 people....(so we are kinda in the same boat...)
I was going just bake 2 cross cakes, (level of one of the cakes, where the sides angle down) add a layer of filling and put them together.......think that will feed 20-30 people?
I am sure that you could level the cake beginning at the beveled edges, but I am not sure you would gain enough cake to serve an additional 16 to 18 people. Could you put it on top of a sheet cake instead of trying to stack them? You may end up with too much cake, but it seems that would be easier.
Thank u for the great idea of putting it on top of a sheet cake!! That just would never have occurred to me since I'm a newbie @ doing cakes. Been doing cookies for about 12 yrs for all our family celebrations. I need to do a cake for my Grt Nephew's Baptism and there will probably be 20-30 people, so this will be perfect :-}
