Coach purse - "C" on handbag - how do I?? - Page 2

I used the cutout methos I used the oval cutout set from Wilton. I had the larger oval and used the next smallest and cut out the rest leaving behind a C. You can check out my diaper bag in my photos. Oh and I used only fondant but I let it dry a little before cutting so they hold their shape then attach to cake.

Here's my two cake purses, I made a stencil (in 3 different sizes) using the Coach template provided here on CC.

I used a template I made for myself and cut out each individual C which was sooooooo irritating! I liked the idea of painting with dust and vodka. I have an airbrush now so next time I'll try a stencil with the airbrush.

If I may add in here, I did one of these and it was horrible! I made my own cookie cutter and did them with fondant. Do not, I repeat, Do not do it that way. Unless of course you are better at making cookie cutters! I had a heck of a time and only had about 1 usable one out of every 5 I cut. The reason you ask? See that little chunk thing on the tip of the thin part of that C? Got stuck every time. Of course I could just be challenged! lol I would def go for the painting method and put a big pocket on the front to lessen the number of C's you actually have to do. There is a pic of mine in my photos if you want to learn from my mistakes! LOL Let us know how it goes and good luck! icon_smile.gif

Do you mean to post an actual pic here in your message? to do that you have to resize the image to be 800pixels or less. That's why I find it easier to just put the link here...to do that:
1-Go to your photos.
2-Open the pic you want.
3- Go up above to the address, put your cursor at the address and right click.
4-Select 'copy'
5- Come to the message here.
6-Put your cursor on the message window,
7- Right click and select 'paste'...tadaaa!! the link will be added to your message. Not sure if that's what you meant, but I've already told you icon_smile.gif

Love all the purses!

Not to be a wet blanket, but isn't there a whole big issue about selling purses with logos being ...ahem...against copywrite laws? Just an FYI

When pricing cake, remember mom's advice: Try taking 150 guests in formal wedding attire to a nice restaurant for dessert, and see if you can get them all a piece of fresh, decadent, custom-designed cake for less than $4.00/sv!
