That's it! I was totally planning on reading posts until I dose off for a nap. Now, because of you people! I have to go out in the rain to buy some nutella! What is wrong with you people? Have you no mercy? icon_lol.gif

Just a thought... nutella used as a filling for one layer and dulce de leche for the other? It would be like the best of both worlds! I think I'll give it a try!

ok, now I have to go out and buy some stuff:

a panini press
more nutella cause I ate it all
and bananas

and then I have to make some banana bread, cause I'm thinking a banana bread & nutella panini sounds like HEAVEN *cue the angelic choir*

OOh - OOH -OOH! Got another idea - vanilla cake with yummy Nutella filling decorated ever so elegantly with BACI chocolates! dark choc. - hazelnut mmmmmm! placed around the cake so everyone gets a BACI - just not sure if I'd keep them wrapped or not (everyone likes to read their "Italian fortune")! I'm sure you may be able to crush them up & add them as a layer on the Nutella - but I've never tried it - just in my forum cake dreams...

Nutella can actually save your diet. Frankly I think it's too yummy to waste on a bagel or bread. So I cut out the bread and just eat it on the spoon. See? Instant calorie savings!

I love Nutella but it is very expenive here and you would need 2-3 jars to fill a cake so I don't offer it.My kids love it on toast though...

My DH thought he was saving money buying jars online - then I noticed they had them on sale ( icon_eek.gif ) at Market Basket (grocery store). Boy was he steamed!

If you look carefully you might be able to find them under $5 at your local grocery store.

Good luck and happy eating..on a spoon! YUM

nutella is like crack to me, i bought it thinking it was like peanut butter....good gravy...i put some on a sammie, and just then thought...who needs bread?

it was gone that day...all of it....and i live alone.

i never bought it again...i have thought about keeping it on hand to fill cakes at the shop....but i'd be kidding myself, i'd be snacking until it was gone....

Not only have I gained weight just reading this thread, but I left my 21 month old daughter to eat her scrambled eggs and they are now all over the kitchen floor. icon_eek.gif Serves me right I guess ... but it was worth it for the laughs. That utube video had me in stitches!!

This isn't meant to sound rude at all~

I can no longer keep up with the requests, so please don't PM me for the recipe. I originally meant to only give it out to the OP, or a few, and should have offered the recipe through a PM, my fault. I will probably post the recipe but please do not post it for me. I would appreciate that very much.
Thanks for understanding. icon_smile.gif

K2, you are kind to even consider posting it on CC to share!

For everyone who cannot wait until she has time to post it, you CAN find Nutella recipes on the internet, just google "homemade nutella" or "vegan nutella" or whatever might get you a recipe FOR the stuff rather than a recipe for a treat USING the stuff. I just used the search term for "nutella dairy-free" and found a BUNCH of recipes.

It's impossible to know if any of them are as spectacular as K2's recipe but at least the chocies will hold you over and give her some breathing room icon_biggrin.gif

Ceshell~ Thanks for having my back! thumbs_up.gif The last time I tried to "take care of myself" on here, I got handed my head on a platter. icon_rolleyes.gif I really do get excited when someone shows an interest in a vegan recipe, but I have 3 labor intensive cakes coming due...
