Here's mine. I'm actually a little embarrassed to post it among such talented decorators but here it is. It's a dummy cake I made for a competition. I thought it turned out well, especially since I just started decorating at the end of January. Anyway, here it is! Thanks for looking!

I am just curious...when someone puts a cake on here...what is the expectation in the # of favs they get..? for some cakes it may not be someones "cup of tea"...we dont see the number of people that actually clicked to view the cakes...once they view they may not find it necessary to save the posted cake...we all like our own cakes(some times) and we regard them as our children..almost...so i guess this is the need for this topic....we want more pats on the back and compliments for something that may have been done hundreds of times already....have to just be proud of what we did and "get over it"

My favorite cake was this Gronckle Cake from How to Train Your Dragon. My son was adamant that he have this dragon for his birthday cake and I kept trying to get him to change to Toothless because I thought the Gronckle was so ugly. It turned out being my favorite cake ever! It has gotten a lot of views, but few comments.

Although this was a dummy cake, I was proud of it. I wanted to practice so I used some new molds and cutters, airbrushed my first gumpaste rose and was happy with how it turned out.

This cake was a labor of love. It was my first time using my petal pan, and I spent all day Easter covering and painting it. I'm really proud of how it came out icon_smile.gif

I agree that the number of favs shouldn't be your guage on how well you did. I, personally, put some favs in a folder on my tool bar - that doesn't show up in the poster's favs, but it does get counted in the views. (which is what I really go by) And then there are cakes that I've done that I really like, but don't get very many views - and cakes that are viewed beyond anything I would ever expect because I didn't think they warrented it. I also think it depends on when you post - it can really be hit or miss. I do like forum posts like this, though, because I haven't seen the majority of the cakes on here because of my busy days & this gives me a chance to check out some beautiful work!! icon_smile.gif

I love it when people comment but I am happy that people take a look! Here is one of my "neglected" icon_biggrin.gif favourites!!! TFL Kxx

Like others, I've looked at thousands of pictures on CC but have never seen any of these before! Amazing!

This is my favorite cake for 2 reasons. #1) It's my first original design and I spent weeks thinking/dreaming how to accomplish it, #2) I love the way it tells the Easter story.

TFL!

My husband did this Jabba the Hut one about a month after we finished the Wilton Classes. I thought it would get alot of attention. I still think he did a great job on it. http://cakecentral.com/gallery/1343438

I thought this wedding cake I did for a friend would have gotten more attention too: http://cakecentral.com/gallery/1754722/1754729
