Shelly101 you made my day! Your cakes are amazing!!! So that makes me very proud to have some of mine on your fav list. Your Minnie Mouse and Strawberry Shortcake cakes are in the back of my head for ideas for my daughters b-days (they are only 2 & 10 months right now so the Strawberry will have to wait a bit but my 2 year old LOVES minnie!) She got very excited when she saw your cake
crissy and pudwick you both have some really amazing cakes in your photos i actually have some of both of yours in my favs and crissy i noticed that you always comment on my cakes so thanks for taking the time to do that
Awe thank you! And you're welcome, I always try to comment on the cakes that catch my eye...eveyone is so talented on here.
I had entered this one for the animal cake contest, so i dont know what ppl thought, just wanted feed back on anything i could improve on, and i mean anything, just starting out, and LOVIN IT!!
This was my very first post to Cake Central, and first cake after finishing Wilton 3. Chocolate cake "home plate", hat and ball, MMF on all, with fondant character.....I was pleased the way the hat and brim came out, but it never seemed to get much reaction.
Wondered if anyone could offer advice?

Molly
this was my favorite, I spend so verry many hours hand making all those leaves and then hand painting them. That was the biggest cake I have done. I was happy and so was the bride

Wow! Molly2 that cake is amazing. So much time and detail. Beautiful work.
I agree with your own description on the picture that the time is all worth it when you see their faces...
I know I am not very good in cake decorating, but I was very proud of these two;

I always post pictures about 10 p.m.-ish EST (after the kiddos go to bed) and it seems to be a really bad time to get new cakes noticed. Glad to see this thread!
I made this cake for my dad's 60th birthday and he LOVED it. All the cars are hand-molded. That took a while.

Thanks for looking!
I got quite a few comments on a thread I posted about this one when it was finished, but not much on the actual picture. I think I posted it when a lot of other things were posted, and it never showed up on the home page. I was very proud of it, and wanted more feedback than I got.
Thanks!

Wow! Such beautiful cakes so far! It's hard to believe they went unnoticed!
Although most of my cakes go unnoticed, this one is probably one of my favorite's... I made 8 (yes, EIGHT) cakes for 1 bridal shower. They were used as centerpieces. They're my favorites because so much time was spent on them, and I love the colors (sage green & pink) & the delicate, simple designs.

I love that so many of these cakes are getting more feedback.
I made one for this weekend that I was especially proud of. The box looks wonky in the photo but I think that was because of the way I too the picture. I'm not sure the tissue shows up against the white background either. In any case, I was actually happy with it and onlya few people saw it.

I think my problem was that when I uploaded most of my pics, I loaded something like 3 pages at a time! I have some cakes that are my favorites and have gotten very few responses and then there are a few cakes that I didn't even like that much that really had a ton of responses!
I just realized that I have one cake in my gallery that has been viewed almost 1700 times since I uploaded it a month or so ago; it has something like 43 favorites and only 4 comments! (Not complaining... just think it's kind of funny!)
So, here's some of my favorite "unnoticed" cakes:
One of my favorite wedding cakes:

I really worked hard on getting the realism on this cake... but it didn't "show" well in the photo:

I hand-molded the crab for this cake and it was such a time-consuming cake for a sheetcake!

This cake was HUGE! Trying to get a photo from a good angle was difficult:

I really liked my bowling shoes! It was the first pair of shoes I did and it was technically much more difficult than I had thought they would be!

I worked so hard on making my diapers look real and I was really proud of them! The photo makes the blue look too bright, but it was nicer in real life.

This cake took me the longest to make and I stressed over having to make it as it was to be my first carved cake. I was really proud of it in the end although I know the lines could be cleaner and my BC work stinks (but at that point I was getting tired of working on it lol).
It was for my DS' 4th birthday and he pretty much told me what he wanted. He loved it but it didn't get no love in the galleries lol. The only comment was from the member who inspired the cake and only because I PM'd them that I'd uploaded it lol.
I welcome any feedback...thx...

**edited to add**
Not to minimize the comment I did get! I really appreciated what the member had to say, especially because they inspired it!
j-pal...I just checked out your links but they all open up just the pictures and do not link to gallery photos so I can't leave comments.
So I'll just leave them here...
You did a great job on your bass cake...it is very realistic! And I really like the bowling shoes too...the colours are great and the work is so neat and clean!
I couldn't open them for comments either. Those fish!! They look so real. I love the bowling shoes too.
