Hey everyone,
Does anyone have any good suggestions for a filling that will go well with vanilla cake? I'm already making a raspberry filling. And vanilla SMBC. But I was wondering what everyone else would put it?

Thanks!!

I love using the following as filling: a thin layer of BC, then dark chocolate ganache, followed by raspberry filling.

Wow. That sounds good, kellieschwabl...

It sounds a little different, but I pair vanilla cake with a mandarin orange cream filling, and it's been really successful. I just take bavarian cream filling, stir in a can of (drained and patted dry) mandarin orange segments and add orange extract to taste. It's a nice light flavor combo.

mmmm....both of those sound good...I've also done an orange cream filling with vanilla - DH tells me it's the "creamsicle" cake! icon_smile.gif
Have also done a raspberry-cheesecake filling that's really yummy!

Good luck! icon_smile.gif
