What To Do With A Demolished Cheesecake?
Decorating By georgiapuddinpie Updated 24 Mar 2009 , 1:39pm by georgiapuddinpie
I baked two cheesecakes today for my mother's birthday tommorrow. The plan was to see if I could stack them (one was 10 inches the other was 7). Well I did not wait long enough for it to cool and the top layer kinda fell apart while I was trying to stack (not a big deal since I was experimenting anyway). I was wondering if there is some sort of awesome dessert I could make out of the remains? Something like cake balls or such? Just wondering if anyone had any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
ah man! someone made cheesecake balls!

Her recipe made it into Taste Of Home magazine!
I do this all the time. Crumble it up and make it into balls, freeze till firm, then dip in chocolate. YUMMY!
I love to do this with my turtle cheescake recipe too, but instead of making balls, I just cut into squares, freeze, and dip.
You can also use it as a layer in a trifle dessert.
Also try folding it into some whipped cream or buttercream and use as a cake filling....oh my heaven right here on earth!
After I had my daughter, the first meal I got had a dessert that consisted of alternating layers of a cheesecake type filling, cherries, and whipped topping in a sundae style glass dish. Now maybe it was because I hadn't eaten for 48 hours, maybe not... but it was DELICIOUS!

That sounds DELICIOUS!
IT WAS! Of course, the fact that I was given a tray by mistake ( I wasn't supposed to be eating as I was post-operative) just made it that much more YUMMY!
buy some large strawberries....cut a slit in center but not all the way through...stuff with an ample amount of cheesecake and freeze for about 15 mins...then cover in melted white or milk or dark chocolate...but I would not make these until day you are going to serve...they will start weeping...divine! I've never been a big fan of cake balls, but cheese cake balls dipped in chocolate...I'll have to reconsider. Sounds fabulous.
Thanks so much for all the suggestions! They all sound scrumptuous. The stuffed strawberries sound so awesome, but I don't have strawberries on hand. So I will make the cheesecake balls which soound so great! Thanks again, ya'll are the bestest.
