It is definately worth its weight in gold.... I cant for the life of me make an even level straight line.

My sweet loving agbay allows me to torte evenly and lovingly.

I have never had a regret in buying this tool as I have with others.

4 thumbs up (including my toes in this one)

this has to be my second favorite piece of equipment behind the stress free cake support system.

I can not say enough about how awesome this product is and very well made.

the owners of the company are very nice also as she is a cake decorator and her husband came up with the product to help his wife.

Arsing1 and Ladybugmom - an Agbay is a cake leveler. You can google it and bring up their website.

How do you order one of these? Can you call in a order?

By the way, my family thinks I'm a dork because I'd rather get a cake cutter instead of a new phone. Oh, and they think it's funny I cake blog. icon_biggrin.gif

SugarShack definitely has her priorities in order!

Yes, the Agbay is the BEST tool on the market. Absolutely. No question. Buy one now. Totally worth the $. Really.

Absolutely love it!! I got it for Christmas and it's just been phenomenal. I don't want anyone to touch it but me...I'm terrified someone is going to hurt it. (Which I don't really think is possible...but hey it's mine; hands off).

LadybugMom, Agbay is the "brand" name of the leveler. If you have a simplified one you probably have the wilton large leveler. I just don't want to you to be confused thinking all levelers are called Agbay. I really want one but the dollar is crap right now and i will have to pay taxes when i get it shipped here... never mind the $50 to ship... so a $149 tool will cost me almost $350 cdn.

Get the cleaning tool too. It's not expensive and will save your fingers.

The Agbay comes in a single blade and the double blade. There's no "simplified" Agbay. And if you have the large Wilton leveler, my sympathies.

I have the double bladed one and love it! I am sure that it's adding back the years that the Wilton one took off my life! Shoot even some extra years! It's a dream! Just be careful with it! Mine bit me about a month ago, and let's just say it works as good on fingers as it does on cakes!

True. I have many, many little cuts to prove how sharp it is. For a while I was wearing a cut resistant glove on the hand that gets close to the blade. Maureen always says "Keep your hands and fingers AWAY from the blade!"

That's my problem as well. I've watched the videos of the Agbay and really want one, but is everyone suggesting that the Wilton one just isn't worth getting at all? Even if it is literally the only choice at the moment.

I really want an Agbay also - but just cannot afford right at the moment - however the Wilton large one is definately not worth getting! Even though I don't have an Agbay (yet!) I threw the large Wilton leveler away - it was horrible! I agree with Leah's - if you are trying to use that - my sympathies!

Not only do I think the Agbay is worth it, I just stared renting space in a kosher kitchen where I have to have separate utensils for dairy and non-dairy cakes. I definitely plan to buy two more for that and to keep one at home. I don't EVER want to have to tort or level a cake without an Agbay!!! I am one of those who threw out my Wilton leveler as it usually made things worse instead of better.
