Omg! It's funny in a kinda weird way! lol!~ It happens to the best of us! You know I have seen them use that too on food network and wondered what it was!
Please ignore some of the rude people on here that has nothing better to do than BLAH,BLAH,BLAH,BLAH! I guess they are soooo perfect and NEVER make mistakes! I am glad you got it straightened out and glad your did get the dates mixed up! Better Luck next time! lol icon_wink.gif

Except that I would be too cheap to buy the cans of air, I could totally see myself doing everything the OP described, and I would also then tell the story to anyone who would listen.

I knew that canned air was used on food, but I also knew you can't use the computer air (dusty puff or what ever it is) because of the propellant. I'm glad there is one allowed for food. Bookmarked the page, thanks OhMyGanache.

I was watching FN Challenge a few weeks ago when I noticed one of the competitors using the same brand of keyboard cleaner that my husband sells in our computer shop.

I don't think they should allow them to use anything that isn't food grade on these shows for exactly this reason. Either that or FN should have a disclaimer specifying that some of the items/techniques used render the creations inedible. Because what happens is people like the OP see these items used and say to themselves "It must be food safe. After all, Chef XYZ used it in Challenge last week."

The way this post went is the reason that it took me a year and a half to write my first post or post my first picture. I am thankful for the people that share things with everyone, that is how we learn. Royalty, I looked at your pics and they are great. I have been decorating for a few years and I just took 3 of the wilton courses because you never know what someone else can teach you.

When you've been around here awhile, you'll quickly (!) find out how very, very helpful and knowledgeable K8 is. She's on my short list of people whose opinion I HIGHLY value and is one I would go to with a problem. We have a rare occasion where we might disagree with each other, but don't discount her valuable contributions to this site.



Yeah me too. I don't fault her for thinking this post was bogus. It actually crossed my mind too. Nothing personal to the OP, we just have a lot of really immature people who join (or make aliases) just to see the kind of commotion they can start.

After reading the first 3 replies on this thread I just stopped .. WHY is this poster being attacked?? Who pissed in your cheerios today? Why wouldn't it be real? we all have done some stupid things in our time, no? Secondly, I'm with the others who woulda thought an air can has other things in it besides air?.. Get a grip!

I'm not the only one that shared an opinion on her behavior, I believe there were more than a handful of "valued members" that shared the same. Regardless, I still stand by what I said. Thanks though!
