I'll Never Use Plain Old Rkts Again!!!

You're probably thinking to yourself, "what the heck, this chick's lost her mind." Well let me explain.
Here I was, minding my own business, making Pepe Le Piu. And things go south quickly. His tail is huge and it curls in a precarious arch over his body. So, I made a batch of rice crispy treats and went to work. This is where the phrase "need is the mother of all inventions" comes in.
I get it started and it's already proving to be a pain in the arse. I step away to breathe and I hear an, ever so faint, crunch... plop.
I turn to see my Pepe tail falling. AAAAAAAAAHHH
Then I think to myself, "forget this, I'm going for modeling chocolate." But it's so darn heavy and the tail is HUGE. ARG...
So I decided to do it in layers... one layer rice crispy treats and then top it with modeling chocolate to anchor it. Pretty good idea huh?
Well, it gets better....
As I'm farting along.... I see that the tip of my tail is getting too long so I grap a piece of it and tear it off... and I mush it together.
DING!!!!!
I notice that the consistency of the modeling chocolate mixed with the rice crispy treats is light and airy an still holds the general properties of modeling chocolate that I love. HOWEVER, it gets harder than the darn soggy treats and .... ok... it's just totaly awesome.
So, I went along making the tail and the head with this mixture and I'm loving it.
It's soooo easy to work with.
I'll post a pic soon.
Tell me what you think... oh and if this is something that you guys do already..just fake me out and call me awesome anyway. K
..
My ego can't handle it right now. hahahahahahaha
LMAO I love your story....too funny!
Post pic soon. I haven't used RKT yet for that exact reason...the fear of it being too soft...but now I want to do it....well the SLOPOKESGIRL WAY!

NOT A WORD ABOUT HIS HEAD... I ran out... I'm making more.... ahahahahah....
Gosh... no pun intended....
Yup... Just make both separately, then when the Modeling chocolate sets and you knead it... knead the two together.
As it stands right now it looks like it should go in the naughty section
I can't wait to see more pics I have always had a soft spot in my Piggly Wiggely heart for that Stinker!
"le-oink. Le-snort, Le-grunt' He makes my tail curl!

LOL I was really trying not to say anything... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
I found some extra modeling chocolate and quickly put it on the .... ahem... head.... I couldn't stand to look at it like that any more.....
HAHAHAHAHA
This is too funny! I was having a rotten day till I looked at these pics and read this post. I cant wait to see it finished. I might have to try this method in may when I go to make my sons cuious george cake.
I like the idea I think it will work. The RKT are always way too heavy.
Poor Pepe he was always and forever falling in love and chasing after some poor cat with a stripe of paint down her back. (hehe)

LOL Sadsmile - that is funny!
The suspense is killing me...can't wait to see the finished product. I love the character - one of my favorite cartoons.

Whew - I thought it was just me......
Great job! I admire your talent!
I've enjoyed sharing your journey, thank you. I hope to someday feel confident enough to attempt something like this. His facial expression is priceless.
Your original post/story had me laughing out loud! THEN when I saw the first picture and the comments about the naughty section, I thought I would pee my pants!
Your modeling is AMAZING!!!!! I have never had much success with RKT and I have never used modeling chocolate, now I definately have to try this!
YOU ROCK!
I wonder...tell me...are you able to carve him up a bit with a paring knife (or potato peeler?) after it gets hardened up? Or are you smushing and smashing and molding as you go.
Holy cow. I'll bet you have 25 bucks worth of product for this little skunk. Well, he actually looks pretty big!!! Very cool, tho. What was your ratio or did I miss that post.
Thank you for such a cute story! Your Pepe looks great! My DD(she is 2) is sitting at the computer with me with a puzzled look on her face and said,"Oh no that's not a puppy its not." So I am still laughing while I type.
