Aw Kathy, it had to be you didn't it?! I was hoping nobody would mention a photo! I hate photos!

Kathy can't wait to see it, I love little seahorses there so cute. I have remembered I bought a mould of little mermaids last year to, not used that either. I really need to start using what I buy.

Sock monkey you leaves look good Like Lizzy said I think they just need to be thinner.

AIkwym sock, you need to try things out before buying the expensive stuff! You could try using lindt/tesco finest/taste the difference etc, they'll work pretty well :-)

Can I just say I love that you have this horrible medical issue (my friend's got it it's not nice is it) and you take away from it that you can make pastry well. That is a shining example of looking on the bright side! :-)

Maisie that's so lovely! Who'd have thought a bin could be romantic? And just so you don't feel weird about clicking the lid, I still love it and I've had them for about 15 years. Little things and all that :-D

AI told gumpaste John yesterday, dont you call me thoughtless, I didn't get a bunch of flowers or anything for my birthday, I did say, don't get me anything, and that means he won't, so bloody well told him so.

Mr Roxy's didn't do birthday cards when we first got together as his dad thinks there a waste of money when you just throw them in the bin. I was raised with as long as you got a card of someone to show they thought of you that was what mattered not the present. It took a few years for him to come around to my way of thinking but he got there in the end. We stopped doing valentines after the first few years but last year Mr Roxy walked in with a bunch of flowers for me as a surprise.

AYeah Lizzy, doesn't take much!

Aw nanny every man of a certain age should have learnt that when a woman says "no, really, I don't want a present/meal/fuss/spoiling" it really means she does! We were a bit skint one Christmas so we agreed not to buy each other anything. We spent Christmas Day sulking, him cos I bought him something and me cos he didn't buy me anything! (Only a jokey sulk mind, it wasn't worth spoiling Christmas for.)

AMen really don't think like women do they roxy? I'm the same with cards. I leave them up for a week, my husband takes them down the next day. He says "well it's not my birthday now." I bet that was lovely to see him walking in with flowers. :-)

I did think after saying that, that I'll probably just do another practice with something from the supermarket. I didn't even realise you could get Tesco Finest cooking chocolate until I just looked it up. Maybe I should get some of the fishy smelling stuff just to stop me from eating it when I should be testing with it...

I'm not normally known for looking on the bright side, but may as well make the most of it in this case! I'm built for baking :-D

Sock, it looks to me like the only issue you have with the leaves you've done is that the chocolate wasn't tempered and was too thick. Much as I love galaxy, it won't be suitable for what you want to do, you will need to temper couveture (or use cooking chocolate which will be run like couveture but smells like fish!) I reckon if you did that again with proper choc you'd be really happy with the results

Hahahaha you sell it so well. Fishy chocolate, fishy chocolate, come get it whilst it's stinking

Hi all,

Maisie, wow you got an airbrush!! What a lovely hubby you've got... but wait... a BIN??? Guess he's more than made up for that one eh?

Lovely cakes Tiddy and Siany.

Marvel, well done on the cake sale!

Chezza, how about making chirstmas themed cupcake toppers in advance? You can make your batter and icing in advanced too and thaw when you need to make the cupcakes.

Off to put lil one to bed, then will read the rest of the pages when I've time!!

ATiddy it's in ystrad mynach, and it's called finishing touches. That's all I know, I need to google it again before I set off. I'll have another look now in a minute.

Haha! Sockmonkey, I'm built for tasting! :-D However often I type your name my phone always wants to change it to sick monkey! You'd think it would recognise it by now wouldn't you.

It's my stepsons birthday Saturday roxy, hopefully that'll remind me to wish you happy anniversary. If I'm not too stressed with his cake!

You should enter a cake Siany. That reminds me, the love heart cake in your CI pictures tiddy, was that an entry in a competition?

The bin was quite romantic Jean. Or maybe I'm just easily pleased! I'm delighted with my airbrush, can't wait to try it, look out kitchen!

AHey peeps,

Well looks like there's something in the air for coming back online... Hellloooo Lizzy ;-) sorry to hear about the pesky builders, lovely to see you back though xx

Kathy thanks for asking, work is slowly getting better. We have 2 new members of staff joined over the last 2 weeks and boss lady was being ok till I selfishly asked for a day off this Friday ! She huffed and hasn't confirmed it so looks like we are back to her being difficult again lol.

Siany look forward to seeing your Xmas houses !

Cheezabelle hope your little one sleeps tonight x

Roxy I loved your little round up for Lizzy - any chance you could do that every week for me lol !

Regarding husbands behaving badly I hope they start behaving for you maisie and Tiddy xx

I have to say mine atm is being super nice, I took my white gold engagement ring and eternity ring to a local jewellers a couple of weeks ago to be rhoduim plated and on a Saturday one of the diamonds fell out of the engagement ring, then on the Tuesday one fell from the eternity ring. I of course went back to the jewellers and said it must of been your cleaning.. They really didn't admit anything ! Anyway to cut a long story short he has gone and bought me what I always wanted but we could never afford a solitaire ring ! So right now that's my next 8 years Xmas presents but I'm very happy - pick ring up tomorrow and I'm so excited !

Tiddy it's 15 commercial street, ystrad mynach, hengoed. (Why doesn't anything technical ever recognise a welsh word?!) CF827DW. I'm going from Cwmbran but I typed my brothers address (Bettws) for directions and it said get off the m4 at J32.

AI'm taking my auntie to physio at 11, don't know what time I'll be done, it's her first appointment. I'm not hanging around after that, I'm dropping her home then leaving. I'll text nanny as I'm leaving, it says online it should take me about half an hour. Sorry I can't be more specific, my life is a bit hectic! I'm surprised I can even fit a treat for myself in tbh! :-)

Yes she's all better, thankyou.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow! :-D I'd love a big CC meet up. Maybe we should think about it next year? Where would be most central? Remember Gray lives in Ireland mind. Oh, I know! South Wales! :-D
