AThanks for that Gray, I'm confused enough already, it doesn't take much you know! I hope you get to see some dolphins too, they're beautiful creatures.

Aw Kathy, just stick some clean pants and a toothbrush in your handbag for hubby then you can have his carrier bag space! :-D

I love your story sha (my phone wants to change your name to aha!). And I'm impressed you spilled so well, we didn't even have to get nannycook on to you! You're one of us already. :-) You must be so excited, new baby, new son in law, lovely. I'm a hobby baker too and I have to say I'm in awe of everyone here but when I joined they gave me such a warm welcome and have never once made me feel I've no business being on here. Quite the opposite in fact, they've encouraged me to do things I wouldn't have attempted otherwise. Have you made a wedding cake before? I'm making one soon, well, not a wedding cake per se, it's for a vow renewal but they didn't have a tiered cake when they got married. I'm a bit scared but excited at the same time.

AKuushi I've travelled with a two tiered cake but any more than that I think I'd stack on site. People watching won't be fun but it's probably the lesser of two evils.

Can't say newstreet, I'll tell you Thursday. How's your daughter?

Kathy I thought you were packing?!

AThere's too much to catch up on and I don't have tin as I'm 60 cupcakes in, got 40 to go.

Made SMBC and it was a nightmare as my Mixer can't handle it but it's turned out lovely in the end. Poor kids are abandoned to the TV bless them. Never mind I am getting very drunk tomorrow nd then I'm sleeping Sunday lol

Catch up maybe later.

P.s Tiddy and Kelsey great cakes, sorry if I missed any on my whizz through x

Hi new  :) .....

kuuushi i agree anyone who hasnt baked a cake seem to think i have a ingredient fairy who gives me everything for free and if one more person say " cakeboss does it in a few hours " i will not be held responsible for my actions lol .

maisie this is my first and last wedding cake , i didnt even want to do it i so wanted the flowers lol but future mil nabbed them first ( crafty mare )  my daughter has already changed design about 10 times already and yesterday said " i dont like dark chocolate "   since when i dont know but its tough because all layers are made and in freezer .

this will be my second tiered cake first one was a bit wonky lol but meggy didnt mind so neither did i  .... bottom and second tier are dummy cakes so they have stacked ok , im just keeping my fingers crossed that top tier plays ball lol

i must admit yes new baby is exciting and will be 5th grandchild  and of course new son in law he is lovely bless him  and i am excited for the wedding  i just hope i dont kill someone between now and sept 13th lol  and when i say someone i mean the bride

I've been away for 2 nights.  136 new messages (you'd think we were on Mars..  honestly, how do people LIVE with no internet service on their phones???)

Anyway, hope everyone is well and have been behaving.

Wow Sha that's a lot of news from your daughter all in a few weeks. Lovely news though :D I am a hobby baker to just for friends and family, I have started counting the cake as part of their present now as it costs so much to make, my mum buys me some ingredients sometimes as I am always sending cakes and cupcakes down to her and my bother, she says I would only spend a fortune at asda on cakes and they won't be as nice as yours. I don't think people realise how much it does cost to make a cake, to be honest when I did a pillow cake for a holy communion a while ago it cost around £80 for the ingredients and boards etc, I reworked it out a few times as I thought it must be wrong. Oh and don't worry about asking daft questions on here I ask them all the time :-D

Gray hope you have a good time out and see some dolphins, I would love to swim with them.

Siany good luck with the cupcakes not that you'll need it :-D

Kathy have a nice time in cornwall, tell your hubby to get the train and meet you there then you can use the front seat for the rest of your things

Kelsey we love Mrs brown's boys in our house:D I'm sure the stacking will go fine.

AGreat cookie Chezza!

Sooo the stacking went okay! Now I'm gonna be bitingly nails until the morning to see if anything went wrong. Why am u always like this? I can't even sleep the night before due to having cake wreck nightmares!

AIt's lovely Kuushi, it took me til the third photo to figure out the top tier is a ring box! Duh! They didn't need "on your engagement" on there I don't think, it's obvious what it's for. (When you figure out it's a ring box!) :-D I love the cupcake swirls too btw. And you're not on your own with cake related dreams/insomnia!

That's huge chezzabelle, my daughter would go mad for that!

Fab cake Kelsey!

Ive had a nightmare day :( first had 3 hours sleep last night. Then the wedding cake delivery first thing this morning. Bit of a long story but it was for a relative of my sons gf and her family have fallen out big time with this woman. Anyway despite the fact that i wished i hadnt done the cake just two weeks ago she emails me that theyve changed the venue! Now this woman messed about from day one...was late paying both the deposit and the final balance despite the fact that i agreed to do the cake at discount, and is just an awful person in general.

As soon as we leave the house this morning in the car with 3 tier stacked cake on my lap i get a ch attack! I couldnt believe it! Poor mr T driving like a loon to get there so i can get back quick 8-O. Me hanging onto head and cake

Get to the place which is a dismal pub stuck in the worst part of town and its all in darkness and locked up! Bang on the door, ring the bell...nothing.....also raining by now! We decide that we have no option but to take the cake back to the car and call her. The one car in the car park then opens its door and she says is that the cake? To which my hubby said yes and she said oh i will take it, im her niece.

By the time i got back in the car the ch was at full pelt, cue me crying and shouting, face drooping, sweating etc...poor mr T drives like a loon again to get me home

Ive had a day of pain and tonight had to deliver the shoe cake. So off we go....cant find the house, drive up and down the road for ages...head starts again just as we spot it! The lady was so lovely, invited me in, wanting to talk all about the cake etc. I just about held it together!

Ive soooo much to do still for the fayre but everytime i try it attacks so ive now given up in the hope that as today and last night was so bad it will give me a bloody break tomorrow! Grrrr! I only had two hours sleep the night before

Rant over :D and on a lighter note the shoe lady loved the cake so much she hugged me so tight i thought i was going to pass out

And here it is!

Honestly some people make me sick. I don't even bother doing a cake these days unless it's £50 and if they think I'm expensive then they're not the kind of customers I want!

Haha Kelsey I do love you, that's my exact philosophy now.  My min order is £50 or bog off pmsl

I don't think it crusts no, I'll let you know tomorrow though, I think it's ok in the heat It's the first time I've made it so on a learning curve. Azcouture is the one to ask about it as I know she uses it all the time, and pretty much what she doesn't know probably isn't worth knowing lol
