AAw Suzanne, poor you. I'm sure they'll be fine with your offer. The SIL probably told your customer how upset you were too, if she's reasonable she'll understand. The cake is beautiful btw, I love the leopard print.

Lovely twins cake m4rvel, can't believe it was last minute, that would take me a month to plan, a month to worry and a week to make! My son can fall asleep while he's being tattooed, I just thought he was strange! His first ever tattoo was a three hour sitting on his 18th birthday, I couldn't talk him out of it, he's wanted them for years.

Beautiful pillow cake tiddy. Why are you doing it to yourself tho? Take it easy while you're so ill, look after yourself a bit. X

Lovely cupcakes (can't remember who posted them and I'm afraid to scroll in case I lose all this typing again!)

I had one of those big blow outs on the side of a cake once, don't know why, never happened before. I just popped it and disguised it with more decorations.

Maisie I refuse to let the beast interfere with my life. I still have bills to pay etc so can't afford not to really. I cannot do anything while im having an attack so i need to do these fast in between

Actually not

I did the white quilted underside first then flipped it over and added the ivory. The biggest one was a pain as the white didnt want to stick but in all fairness that was prob me not putting enough trex on :D

Oh Suzanne - that's everyone's worst nightmare -so sorry for you.  I think it looks fab though and I'm sure they will appreciate the offer of a refund.

Tiddy - love, love, love the cushions!

Sorry if I missed anyone.

I have added a recipe for florist paste to the recipes section on ukbc, I got it from the pretty witty cakes site, all you do is knead the ingredients into the SP, super easy.

Original message sent by roxylee123

Sugarluva cake look great and I love the super cheesecake in a jar super cute idea. I have never made cheesecake could I have the recipe if you don't mind please.

Marvel twins cake is super cute love all the bright colours.

I didn't really follow a recipe for these ones roxy I just made it up as I went along.

Biscuits base - 400g fox's butter crinkle biscuits and 150g melted butter. Cheesecake topping - 400g cream cheese, 400ml double cream, 6 tbsp icing sugar and 2 tsp vanilla extract Strawberry coulis - 100g caster sugar, 125ml water and 300g strawberries melted together and left to cool. With strawberries on top.

That probably doesn't make much sense but cheesecake couldn't be easier to make and you can really go wrong just making it up!

Does anyone else have strange adverts scrolling along the bottom of their phones when on cc now? Or on it just me?

AHi guys, hope everyone is alright?

I have been in and read when I've had 5 minutes but this weekend has been so hectic!

The cakes are amazing! The rose tutorial worked for you then Nic? Poor nanny :( I hope your wedding party went well marvel and everyone else's weekend. Nanny I stick to my hoop in front of Hollyoaks which is my guilty pleasure. But now it's GBBO while it's on!

Got lots of cakes this week so might now be in as much but will try where I can! Got the Cadbury aeroplane cake, the CCFC cake and the minnie cake with cupcakes and cookies for my niece which I'll be talking up to London and staying for the weekend. Hectic week ahead I think!

AAww nanny hope you're OK? Good excuse to our your feet up!

Yes the Rose tutorial was great thanks Kelsey. I couldn't quite get them to roll up like the photo showed though, they kept falling apart, so I kind of adapted it to just stick the circles together one by one until the Rose was built up.

I forgot to mention before too lovely pillow cake tiddy, it looks really beautiful.

AHi all! Wow quiet day today.

I've been busy with MILs birthday do today, 11 people crammed in my living room because the weather nixed the BBQ plan! Soo tired but it was a lovely day and she had a great time so it was all worth it!

Cake went ok, I wasn't happy but no one else noticed anything and all said it was lovely. I liked the SMBC too, not quite as rich as buttercream.

Tiddy the pillow cake is fab, well done you!

Owch Nanny, hope you are ok!

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend :)

X
