I would like to order a few things. Since I'm living in Italy, I have just read about the international shipping. The only thing surprises me is this:

"We now require all international customers to fax us a copy of the front and back of their credit card along with the top portion of their credit card statement showing the name, account number and billing address. Order will only be shipped to the billing address of the credit card."

It seems to me very strange. I would like to purchase with PayPall but with the above conditions I think will not buy anything because I will never send a copy of my credit card including security number! How can I do? I would really like to purchase something!

Where are you ordering from? I would not give up that information either.

Can we help you find the products from another vendor? This policy puts your credit card at far too much risk.

Are you military or dod affiliated? If so then it is not an international shipping but an US address. I have purchased things from ebay and someone tried to charge me international shipping rates. So if that is the case let the vendor know. I hope that helps.

I also have issues with this.

If my credit card info gets stolen somehow, my bank won't cover it if I have been faxing copies of the card around. And I really need some Americolor.

Let me clarify our policy for credit cards and international ordering.
If you request a PayPal invoice for an international order, we do not need any other credit card information. However, we can only ship to the authorized address you have with your PayPal account.

If you do not pay with PayPal and your order is over $200.00, we have no way to verify that the credit card you are using is legitimate. We deal with stolen credits on a weekly basis. The ONLY way Visa/MC will guarantee our charges is if we ship to the billing address of the credit card holder. They ONLY way to verify that is to have a copy of the top of the billing statement sent to us along with a copy of the front and back of the card to prove it belongs to you and the we are shipping to the correct address. You only need to do this for the first order. Once you are an established customer, we do not need the information again.

I am sorry but this is the only way to protect ourselves. Many companies refuse to ship internationally due to this problem. Stolen credit cards are used every week on businesses like mine and in the end it costs everyone in higher product prices.

If you do not want to submit this information, we gladly accept direct bank transfers or PayPal. We leave the option to you-we do not force any customer to submit credit card details.

I hope this clears things up.

Alan

krikrira, I would just pay with paypal. I have ordered from GSA and used paypal with them. I haven't had any problems. I prefer to use paypal whenever possible. It is safer than a credit card. I just had not one, but two unauthorized transactions on my debit card (for over $500!!). One charge was from a country I have never heard of (somewhere near Russia!!) So, I only want to use paypal when possible from now on. I have had very good luck with GSA ordering. I am in the Netherlands, but I do have an APO address. I am very thankful for the companies that do ship to APO's and don't charge a lot more!!

Alan, thank you for clearing that up. It is very unfortunate that credit card fraud is leaving me without any safe method of payment (my bank won't reverse bank transfers or paypal transactions in case of fraud, obviously), but I can see why you have to do it.
It's nice to at least have the Paypal option icon_smile.gif
