I made a comment on the "boobs and butts" cookies that bellattheball posted that said "I bet they loved them!". Well, my autofill on my new Mac computer put the rest in and now my comment says "I bet they loved them. I want one! (with a bunch of smiling faces)".

How embarassing!!!!! I hit the enter button before realizing that the "I want one" part had been added by the autofill from comments I've made on other cookies and now it won't let me post another comment so soon to add a correction to say that I didn't mean to say that!!!! I really don't want one like my comment said, so if anyone took that wrong and is now wondering about me icon_confused.gif pleeeeeeeaaaase don't!!!!!!!

I wish I could take that comment off there because it sounds so...well....strange icon_redface.gif . Oh, I hope the rest of my day goes better! icon_lol.gif

bellattheball - your cookies are really nice...I just didn't mean to comment in that way. icon_lol.gif

I wouldn't worry about it. I think you're over-reacting.

That didn't sound so bad. It was nice of you to compliment the cookies anyway!

Uh yeahhh. Overreacting! Now I have to go look at said post in it's full context! icon_biggrin.gif

Autofill is E-V-I-L! Bad bad bad!

bakinccc - OPPS! Dont worry! It happens to everyone sooner or later! Just give it a few mins and then you can post another one icon_smile.gif I wish there was a way to "edit" them - but for now well ... Maybe you can just PM her and tell her what happened - Im sure she will understand!

I said I thought she was overreacting because it seemed to me (and I could be wrong) that she was upset that the baker would think by her comment that she was "into women". There are worse things to be thought of than that.

I don't think it is so bad either. If I saw that, I wouldn't think another thing about it.

If it still bothers you that much, maybe you can pm a gallery moderator. Off the top of my head...I think kathyscc is one. HTH

Don't worry about it! I was looking at someones beautiful cake and walked away from the computer for a minute. My kindergartener loved the cake and added her comment! I was worried what they would think of me (boy she writes like a 5 yr old!) and like you could not edit the post so soon. Like GayeG said, things like this do happen to everyone at some point!

I tried 4 times before I finally got to post a revised comment! Ok, maybe I overreacted, but I really didn't know whether to laugh about it or feel embarrassed! I just know it's not what I meant. Thanks everyone. I think my day will be just fine now!

I didn't want to come off as insensitive. I'm sorry if that's how it read. BTW, your cookies are gorgeous! You do very nice work. icon_smile.gif

That is hilarious. icon_lol.gif No big deal though. I try to stay far away from innuendos too because they always embarrass me, but sometimes they just happen anyway! At least it was only here on CC icon_smile.gif

I saw a blooper show once that showed a news clip about not getting any snow after it had been forecast the night before - the newscaster said to the weatherman, "So Bob, what happened to that six inches you promised me last night?" icon_lol.gif I remember that now every time I hear them predict snow. So again, at least your blooper was only on CC!

I have come to find that there are three things on my computer that can get me into trouble:

1) Autofill. I have actually shut it off on my computer.

2) Relying on spellcheck. When I wrote a memo "Attn: Second Shift Employees" - do you know that spellcheck didn't catch that I left the "f" out of shift? I guess it's a word too, but I never lived that one down. icon_rolleyes.gif

3) And reply all. You'll only accidentally hit it when you have something snarky to say about someone on the original e-mail.

Spell check also doesn't catch it when you inadvertently leave the L out of Public. Ask me how I know.

Hmmm...I saw your comment and thought it meant you wanted some of those great cookies. I guess it must've been too early in the morning for me to even consider the other possibilities!

And I also saw the clip of the newswoman's gaff. It's still hilarious! I'm guessing her co-workers will be talking about it at her retirement party.

Warning: ADULT
The worst oops I saw on TV was a sport announcer who meant to say "and later, cup soccer", and instead said "and later, c**k sucker". I wonder what a talking to he got from the boss. icon_redface.gificon_redface.gificon_redface.gif

ha ha ha! I'm in hysterics reading this thread! Love the anecdotes about the newsreaders! One of my best friend's is a newsreader and I'm picturing her saying those things! Don't feel embarressed - just laugh along with the rest of us! It's great when someone gives you a giggle for the day ... and the innocent mistakes are the most delightful!
