Is there a list anywhere of cutters that people use for two totally different cookies? Or could we start one in this thread?

Like I just got a cutter from Copper gifts (my first one!!) and it is a bridal bouquet, but it could also be a tree.

Does this make sense? I had more in my head but now they're all gone.

I have a tiny one that is a sillouette of a cat (like a cat sitting on a fence, not a cat where you can see all four legs). I used this one ..... cut the dough off that is the cat's tail .... gave them to a dentist friend because they looked just like a tooth!

The beer mug, laid on it's side, kinda looks like a briefcase or a purse.

I use a gingerbread cutter to make babies for shower gifts.

I used the easter egg cutter to make strawberries, also for the Kermit frog face cookies...got the idea from another cc'er.

I thought for sure I could find a list of shapes and other uses somewhere on the net, but maybe I just didn't use the correct search words because I came up with nothing!

Oh, I forgot, I just bought the onesie cutter... not for the onesie-no babies in my house, but I'm going to give it a pink tutu(with the ribbon tip) and spaghetti straps, I guess you could also make it wearing a bikini or swimsuit as well.

I found a snowman face wearing a top hat cutter on an after-Christmas sale. It's the round part for the head, sticky-outs on either side for the hat brim, and the rectangle part for the hat crown. I put it on the counter to pay for it and the cashier said, "Oh, you bought Kenny." I'm like, what? And she turned the cutter upside down and said, "See? It's Kenny from South Park!"

I use a flower shape or a seashell shape for a turkey. Also lemon cutter for a baby face if you round it a bit. There is a photo of the turkey and the baby face in my photos. (Could not attach it to this post)

I have a hot air balloon that I used for a tree. I've used the onesie cutter for T-shirts (just cut the bottom part off).

Hey! You could use the lemon-shaped cutter to make Stewie, from Family Guy!

Cut the nipple off a baby bottle and you have a mason jar.

I have used the tombstone cutter for a top hat. I have used it for Abraham Lincoln and Cat in the Hat. I have also cut the reel part off the fishing pole and used it as a toothbrush. If you cut the tie off the diploma it makes a great burrito.

I've used a baby bottle for a bottle of glue.

I was looking through yankeegal's pictures and pulled up one of her school supplies pictures. In it she said she used the baby bottle for the school glue cookie. My son reminded me that we have used the margarita cutter as a trophy, the bat as a therometer and the birdhouse (cut off the little bottom part and use it on its side) as an arrow. He is WAY creative about how to use the cutters!

Upside-down tulips make great pac-man ghosts!

Oh yeah, we use the upside down tulip as a pineapple.

Wow! All these great ideas has made my (pittiful compared to most of yours!) amt. of cutters - triple!! And I DONT have to buy extra storage to house them all!! Wooo hooo! Thanks ya'll!

I used egg cutters for baby shoes.
I used a scalloped round cutter for a sun flower.
I used a rounded flower cutter (the kind with 8-10 petals) for a sun (think beach theme).
I had a standup daisy cutter - I cut the stem off to get just the daisy flower (fit better with the theme of the other cookies)

i've used an evergreen tree cutter upside down for a bunch of grapes.

I've heard you can use a heart to make strawberries.

Wilton.com has lots of creative uses for the gingerbread cutter - turning it into an elf, baby, etc. You can turn the girl cutter into Ms. Claus.

Oohh...and this weekend I'm turning the old lady hat into a spaceship/ufo, and the gingerbread man into an astronaut and martian! (all ideas from other cc'rs)!

If you have one you know should make something else and you can't think what, just take a scan or picture and post it.
I did that a couple of times with garage sale cutters that looked like 'heaven only knew what' and everyone loved figuring out what could be made with them. It was suggested we make it a regular thing to do.

The sitting cat also makes a donkey. I'd love to have more ideas for the rocking horse cutter.
My most versatile cutter so far is the ghost.
