Help needed! I have an order for Monday for an all vanilla Italian rum cake as the person it is for gave up chocolate for lent. My drlimna is that I don't have a recipe and couldn't find one when I searched a few days ago. Now I'm sick as can be with no energy or brain and can't think! Also in PA the liquor stores are closed until morning- and the cake is for noon! OMG three weeks now I've been sick and this is the worst I have felt! If I bake a vanilla cake tonight can I still brush it with rum in the morning? I just don't know what to do! Help please, and tell me like I'm a newbie so my poor brain has a chance!
