I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but here's a recipe. icon_smile.gif

I'm going to give this one a try myself, only using soymilk powder.

The recipe listed above is how to make whipped cream ... it's not powdered Dream Whip. The title of the recipe is misleading .... it means "if you want to make whipped cream and don't have any dream whip, you can use this."

If you're looking for actually whipped cream, the above link would work ok. If you're looking for what to use in place of Dream Whip in, for example, my icing recipe, this isn't the same thing.

I'm sorry about that... icon_redface.gif I should have looked more closely.

I'd just make a different buttercream without the dream whip. I tried the recipe with the dream whip and the icing was terrible. It had this weird fake taste to it and it was very very crusty. No one in my family liked it. Thankfully it was for my family and they knew I was experimenting.

Sharon's sugarshack recipe is great and you don't need to have hi ratio shortening or the emulsion flavoring for it to come out great. I use veg shortening & unsalted margarine. You can even experiment with flavored liquid non dairy creamers with it. Very yummy.

apparently the equivelent is Birds (in the red and yellow packet) dream topping - usually next to things like angel delight or custard. ive yet to try it though.
