Can Anyone give me some directions on how to make a 3D mallard duck cake? Please. I really dont like the idea of using the 3d rubber duck pan. Even if he's decorated different I think he still looks like a rubber ducky. (and this cake aint for Elmo. LOL) Thanks. icon_smile.gif

For the duck cake in my photo gallery I just used oval pans, then carved the body shape. the head was a carved styro ball covered with icing.

Check out www.cakedalaska.com. TooMuchCake from CC has some great sculpting tutorials on her site. I know she has made a duck and it was gorgeous!

You can order her DVD for sculpted animals by going to www.lickthespoonproductions.com. It's great and wonderfully easy to understand.

There is a duplicate thread where I posted in-progress pics of a mallard duck cake.

And thanks, Michele!
