I am soooooo frustrated icon_mad.gif Everytime I try to cover a cake with rolled fondant that I have colored I end up with cracks and holes. I have read a few of the other forum topics that deal with this but still don't have a solution. It seems like many of us have the same problem, which makes me feel a lil' better icon_lol.gif misery loves company. But more than anything I kept thinking it was something I was specifically doing wrong!! It is good to know that is seems to just be that way when tinting fondant. It is so frustrating.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions for me??? I am making a red gumball machine on Friday and am wondering what I can do to eliminate ending up with those cracks. I do have an air brush kit, but am not too happy with the results from that method either.....UGHHH!!!!! HELP ANYONE!!!!

do you have time to buy already colored fondant, red is terrible to get from fondant.

Or cover with a dark pink then air brush the red over it.
