My daughter made these cake testers for me a few Christmases ago. Aren't they pretty?!!!

I use the silver one in spring/summer and the copper one in fall/winter -- I know, I'm a nerd.

Mine are a little bent from so much use. I don't put them in the dishwasher, just rub them off with a wet, soapy dishcloth.

Anyway, she just started with something called a lamp pull that you can get at the hardware store, then she added beads. I bet they didn't cost much at all to make, but they're great.

I thought you all might like to make yourselves one (or one for each season icon_wink.gif ).

I had a friend give one of these to me for my birthday a year ago. She bought it at a local "kitchen store" - a gourmet kitchen shop in the very small town where we live. So someone must make them for sale?? Especially if I can get one up here in Canada!

I think these are adorable and your daughter should get into a craft of her own. We all have talents and she is a crafty one, it looks like.

What a great idea for a cake tester. They are so pretty. You should consider helping your daughter sell those. I know they would be a great hit.
